Alice Kennedy of the Hampton, N.B., branch of Mothers' Union The Mothers' Union (often abbreviated MU) is a worldwide movement of Anglican women, whose aim is to strengthen and preserve marriage and family life through Christianity. The MU calculates its membership to be about 3.6 million in 78 countries.  (MU) became the first person outside the United Kingdom to be elected to the worldwide MU committee on action and outreach Outreach is an effort by an organization or group to connect its ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public. . She will serve a three-year term.

The committee reviews programs and allocates funds donated do·nate

To present as a gift to a fund or cause; contribute.

v.intr.
To make a contribution to a fund or cause.
 to Mary Summer House, the Mothers' Union headquarters in London, for program funding and disaster relief.
