Canadian company plans Arkansas biofuel plant.


A Canadian company has taken the first steps toward building a $40 million biomass-to-biofuel plant in the El Dorado El Dorado, legendary country of South America

Dynamotive Energy Systems Corp. of Vancouver said its new U.S. subsidiary, Dynamotive USA Inc., had entered a long-term contract to buy sawdust sawdust

used as litter for chickens and bedding for horses. Sawdust made from treated timber may cause pentachlorophenol and other wood preservative poisoning. Fungi growing in sawdust litter in poultry houses may cause poisoning in the birds.

No exact location for the plant has been announced. A final site selection is expected by the end of 2009, with construction to begin in 2010 and production to begin in 2011. About 60 permanent jobs will be created, Wales said.
