Canadian bakin': Circuit World, MPC in action. (Around The World / Manufacturing).

 companies changed hands. In one deal, Circuit World (circtwrld.com) acquired Firan Technology Group in a stock swap deal, creating a PCB company with combined sales of C$50 million for fiscal 2002. Circuit World's shareholders have approved the deal, which was expected to close in early July.

The buyout, Circuit World said, will make it the leading supplier of printed circuits to the Canadian aerospace and defense industries. Circuit World will issue 8.5 million common shares, or 49% of its outstanding voting shares Voting Shares

Shares that give the stockholder the right to vote on matters of corporate policy making as well as who will compose the members of the board of directors.

For the year ended Dec. 31, MPC posted revenues of C$2.79 million and a net loss of C$243,089. Through the March quarter, MPC had pro-forma total assets of $2.1 million, long-term debt (less current portion) of C$204,018 and C$1.3 million in total liabilities. Working capital was C$99,094.
