:SNG.) of Calgary, Alberta is pleased to announce the appointment of Dale G. Blue and J. Ronald Woods to the Board of Directors of the Company, both of who were unanimously approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on June 19, 2001.

Mr. Blue has enjoyed a very successful and distinguished banking career where he has spent the last 18 years with the Chase and Chemical Banks, both in Toronto and Calgary. Mr. Blue was most recently the Chairman, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and President of Chase Manhattan Bank The Chase Manhattan Bank, now part of JPMorgan Chase, was formed by the merger of the Chase National Bank and the Bank of the Manhattan Company in 1955. The bank is headquartered in New York City.  of Canada, positions that he held for the past 5 years.

Mr. Woods has a long and distinguished career in the investment and capital markets fields and is presently the President of Rowood Capital Corp., a private investment company. Previously, Mr. Woods was a vice-president of Conwest Exploration. Mr. Woods is a past member of the Board of Governors of The Toronto Stock Exchange Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE)

Shareholders also unanimously approved the re-appointment of Donald Axford, Greg Noval, Robert Pilling, T. (Jake) Harp, Fred Purich, and Charles Dallas to the Board of Directors.

In addition, shareholders ratified the Shareholders Rights Plan previously implemented by the Board on January 22, 2001.
