"We can no longer stand by and helplessly watch this tragedy unfold," said Rich Masterson, proprietor of Chateau Beauvallon and principal of Masterson Development. "It is simply wrong for those of us with snow to forget those less fortunate in frozen precipitation. Just last night we had three inches of fresh powder. Americans have always been generous in times of crisis and its time that we help skiers and snowboarders in the Northeast."

Effective immediately, anyone checking in to Chateau Beauvallon with a season pass to any mountain in the Northeast will receive an aid package from Chateau Beauvallon that includes a free lift ticket to ski Tremblant. In response to the thousands of skiers who do not get season passes but ski regularly, Chateau Beauvallon has initiated Operation Lift Ticket. This aid package for the occasional skier is similar to those holding season passes except it is only available on weekdays.

"If any skier stays at Chateau Beauvallon during the week and presents us with a used lift ticket, we will replace it with a free lift ticket," said Masterson.

Chateau Beauvallon will accept used lift tickets from 2005 or 2006 but no lift tickets prior to 2005.

"Snowboarders are welcome as well. My 12-year-old son is a boarder and he told me that 'it would be totally wack if I excluded snow boarders' and I'm pretty sure I don't want to be wack."

Masterson noted that the exchange rate is very favorable at this time, as the U.S. Dollar is worth about $1.17 in Canada, making Canadian skiing more affordable for families.
