Canadian Oil Sands Extraction Solution! Sequoia's DiamondFlo Displaces Oil from Tar Sands in Lab Tests.

HOUSTON -- Sequoia Interests Corporation (Pink Sheets:SQNC), developer of a new proprietary enhanced oil recovery Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) is a generic term for techniques for increasing the amount of oil that can be extracted from an oil field. Using EOR, 30-60 %, or more, of the reservoir's original oil can be extracted [1] compared with 20-40% [2]  chemical formulation, is very pleased to report the Company's DiamondFlo(TM) has yielded stellar results in displacing oil from Canadian Tar Sand tar sand

samples in laboratory tests. DiamondFlo(TM) displaced a significant quantity of the adhered oil from tar sand samples in the initial feasibility tests. Work is now underway to define the precise degree of oil removal and to optimize the oil removal process using DiamondFlo(TM).

The Canadian Tar Sands Tar sands is a common name of what are more properly called bituminous sands, but also commonly referred to as oil sands or (in Venezuela) extra-heavy oil. They are a mixture of sand or clay, water, and extremely heavy crude oil.  fields are recognized as the mother lode Mother Lode, belt of gold-bearing quartz veins, central Calif., along the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The term is sometimes limited to a strip c.70 mi (110 km) long and from 1 to 6 1-2 mi (1.6–10.5 km) wide, running NW from Mariposa.  of hydrocarbons on Earth. Conservative estimates of oil reserves Oil reserves refer to portions of oil in place that are claimed to be recoverable under economic constraints.

Oil in the ground is not a "reserve" unless it is claimed to be economically recoverable, since as the oil is extracted, the cost of recovery increases incrementally

Although it is commonly referred to and thought of as being a city, Fort McMurray is not incorporated. , Canada total 1.6 trillion barrels of oil, of which 330 billion barrels of oil are deemed recoverable. By comparison, Saudi Arabia has proven reserves of 262 billion barrels of oil. A primary difficulty in developing the Tar Sands region is extraction. The oil does not flow as crude from other oil producing regions but is more akin to a molasses-like sand. Separation of oil from the sands is the major challenge to development.

The extraction tests are being conducted at the independent laboratories of Efird Corrosion International under the supervision of K. Daniel Efird. The tar sand samples were provided by an energy company entrenched en·trench   also in·trench

These initial tests were conducted as follows:

--Milled Tar Sand Oil Extraction

--300ml of 5% DiamondFlo(TM) aqueous solution added to a 600 ml beaker beaker /beak·er/ (bek´er) a glass cup, usually with a lip for pouring, used by chemists and pharmacists.

--Solution heated to 60 degrees C

--90.7g milled tar sand added to the solution with stir bar running

--Photographs taken at intervals over 4 hours.

--Lump Tar Sand Oil Extraction

--90.6 g tar sand added as large lumps to a 600 ml beaker

--300 ml of 5% DiamondFlo(TM) aqueous solution added

--Beaker placed in a water bath set at 60 degrees C

--Beaker removed from bath after 2 days

--Beaker contents stirred on removal from the bath

--Beaker allowed to stand undisturbed at room temperature for 3 days.

"DiamondFlo(TM) performed better than we anticipated," commented K. Daniel Efird. "The product has found a niche market and appears to be ideally suited for the Canadian Tar Sands. Deployment of DiamondFlo(TM) could greatly accelerate the development of the fields."

Mr. John King, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Sequoia Interests, said, "We are extremely pleased with the results. Our management team believed DiamondFlo(TM) would be a better suited solution than current extraction methods. Utilization of the product in the fields will reduce extraction and processing time along with lowering production costs to a more cost-effective basis. We look forward to moving ahead into this arena."
