First introduced in 1992, the Safe Handling Awards are presented each year to CN customers that load 100 or more cars with dangerous goods

CN has also introduced two new award categories: The Corporate Safe Handling Award, and the Continuous Improvement Award. The Corporate Safe Handling Award is presented to companies that exceed 5,000 carloads of dangerous goods shipped and that meet Safe Handling Awards criteria.
