Canadian Lynx Petroleum Ltd. announces the appointment of Mr. Mamdouh Nagati as president and a director of the company effective Aug. 30, 1995.

VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AUGUST 30, 1995--CANADIAN LYNX (VSE: CAX) CANADIAN LYNX PETROLEUM LTD. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mamdouh Nagati as President and a director of the Company effective August 30, 1995.

Mr. Nagati replaces Mr. Lukas H. Lundin as President. Mr. Nagati holds a Bachelor of Sciences (Honours) degree in Geology and Chemistry. Mr. Nagati is an independent petroleum consultant. Previously, Mr. Nagati was Vice President, Exploration, of International Petroleum Corporation and was responsible for IPC's worldwide exploration activities. Before joining IPC, Mr. Nagati was a Senior Geologist with Amoco Egypt.

The Company also announces its intention to grant incentive stock options to its directors, officers and employees, entitling the optionees to purchase up to an aggregate of 477,000 common shares of the Company at a price of $3.00 per share, exercisable over a period of two (2) years. The exercise price is based on the closing price of the Company's shares as traded on the Vancouver Stock Exchange on the day immediately preceding the date of this release.
