Mr. Wahlstrom is a professional engineer with an extensive background in a variety of resource projects, mainly in the energy sector. He most recently served as a vice-president with Commonwealth, a major Canadian industrial construction contractor, where he was responsible for their development into the independent power business. He was also the Project Director of Pacific GeoPower, the Joint Venture between Canadian Crew Energy Corp. and Guy F. Atkinson Holdings, which is developing the South Meager Geothermal Project.
