Canadian 88 Updates High Impact Foothills Exploration Activity.


CALGARY Calgary (kăl`gərē), city (1991 pop. 710,677), S Alta., Canada, at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers. The largest city in Alberta and the fastest-growing major city in Canada, Calgary is a corporate, transportation, and financial , Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 1996-- Canadian Canadian (kənā`dēən), river, 906 mi (1,458 km) long, rising in NE New Mexico. and flowing E across N Texas and central Oklahoma into the Arkansas River in E Oklahoma.  88 Energy Corp. announced in Calgary today that drilling is completed on its 100 percent working interest 14-1-33-2 W5 horizontal Wabamum test in the Olds/Crossfield area of the Alberta foothills.

The well was drilled to a measured depth of 3600 meters, with a true vertical depth of 2540 meters. Excellent reservoir rock was encountered throughout the 1060 meter horizontal section. Completion and testing are underway commencing today.

At Waterton, in the southern Alberta Southern Alberta is a region located in the Canadian province of Alberta. As of the year 2004, the region's population was approximately 272,017[1][2].  foothills, the 8-18-7-2 W5 deep foothills overthrust exploration test is drilling ahead at 3,050 meters. Drilling progress is excellent and the operation is ahead of schedule. Total depth is anticipated to be approximately 4,100 meters.

Canadian 88 is paying 100 percent of drilling costs in order to earn an 80 percent working interest in the well and associated 13.5 section exploration block. The Waterton prospect, if successful, could double Canadian 88's natural gas reserve base.

The location is directly diagonally offset to Berkley Petroleum Corp. and Gulf Canada Resources Ltd.'s discovery well at 1-8-30-1 W5, currently on production at approximately 25 million cubic feet per day of natural gas and 1500 barrels per day Barrels per day (abbreviated BPD, bbl/d, bpd, bd or b/d) is a measurement used to describe the amount of crude oil (measured in barrels) produced or consumed by an entity in one day.  of liquids.
