Canadelle Gets Intimate with ASI and Psion Teklogix Mobile Computing Solution.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -- Leading Canadian intimate apparel company boosts inventory accuracy and customer service by streamlining warehouse operations

(ASI), a full service integrator of barcode-based solutions, announced today that Canadelle, one of Canada's leading intimate apparel companies, is using ASI and Psion Teklogix' rugged mobile computing solution to increase inventory accuracy, worker productivity, and customer service levels in its distribution centers.

Canadelle worked with integrator ASI and Psion Teklogix to replace its aging wireless system in its 225,000 ft2 and 165,000 ft2 distribution centers in Montreal. ASI led the development of the mobile computing solution and outfitted both centers with Psion Teklogix 9150 Wireless Gateway, 9400 Network Controller and rugged 7035 hand-held devices. The new system provides Canadelle with visibility into the contents of its distribution centers from the time undergarments are received at the loading docks until they are shipped to major Canadian retailers.

The new mobile computing system allows warehouse workers to pick multiple orders at one time, drastically increasing productivity and reducing order-handling times. Additionally, inventory accuracy errors have diminished as the Psion Teklogix 7035 hand-held notifies workers when they have picked the wrong undergarment ensuring that customers get the right order the first time.
