With headquarters in Toronto, CTV Television broadcasts both terrestrially and by satellite, delivering signals from coast to coast, with television stations across the country. The Pro-Bel Eclipse routers and Aurora Control system were recently installed in CTV Television's newest facility in Toronto, scheduled for completion in June 2001. CTV Television currently employs Pro-Bel routing at its headquarters in Toronto, and at a facility in Vancouver. Allan Morris, Vice President-Engineering, at CTV, said, "We are happy with our existing Pro-Bel installations, and knew the new system would be compatible. However, Pro-Bel was not the only company we approached and the contract was won in open competition with four other manufacturers." It is anticipated that CTV Television will make use of Aurora's tie line management option to seamlessly route signals between this new system and two other Pro-Bel systems, already installed in Toronto. Aurora's new easy to use Windows(TM) style editor will provide complete management and set up of the control system in a simple `tree style' format. The 256 x 256 Digital Video and AES routers will handle CTV's expanding broadcast service, resulting from the purchase of the Sports Network, and new speciality channels scheduled for September 2001. Roger Henderson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Chyron, said, "CTV is a very important customer for Chyron, and as such, this contract is a key win for us in a competitive marketplace.
