Canada: bishops decide to say nothing (on the 1968 encyclical Humanae vitae).


The Canadian bishops have declined to make a new statement on the 1968 encyclical Humanae vitae. The idea was dismissed at the CCCB CCCB Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops
CCCB Central Christian College of the Bible (Missouri)
CCCB Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)
CCCB Child Care Choices of Boston
 October plenary in Niagara Falls, with an estimated vote of better than five to one among the 75 or so attending bishops.

Such a new affirmation had been requested by three bishops (Roman Danylak of Toronto, Colin Campbell of Antigonish N.S., and Basil Filevich, Eparch ep·arch
