Canabrava Drilling Intersects Kimberlite, Frontenac Project, Ontario/Quebec.Business Editors VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 2000 Canabrava(CDNX CDNX See Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX). :CNB CNB Czech National Bank CNB Centro Nacional de Biotecnologia CNB City National Bank CNB Citizens National Bank CNB Croatian National Bank CNB Chloronitrobenzene CNB Corresponsales No Bancarios (Spanish, Colombia) ) Canabrava Diamond Corporation (CNB-CNDX) is pleased to announce that it has intersected kimberlite kimberlite: see diamond. kimberlite or blue ground Dark, heavy, often fragmented igneous rock that may contain diamonds in the rock matrix. on the first drillhole on its 100%-owned Frontenac Diamond Project, Ontario/Quebec. The FP2 kimberlite pipe is covered by less than 40 metres of glacial overburden o·ver·bur·den tr.v. o·ver·bur·dened, o·ver·bur·den·ing, o·ver·bur·dens 1. To burden with too much weight; overload. 2. To subject to an excessive burden or strain; overtax. n. 1. and drillhole FP2-1 was designed to cut the pipe at approximately 80 metres depth in a 45 degree angled hole. Coarse-grained macrocrystic kimberlite was encountered at a vertical depth of 78 metres. The pipe is defined by a strong circular magnetic low anomaly measuring approximately 150 by 100 metres and is a satellite to the FP-1 target located 300 metres to the southeast. Drilling was initiated on the satellite body for logistical reasons and once the current hole is completed, the rig will be moved to the FP-1 target. A previous drillhole into the eastern lobe of the FP-1 target confirmed that the magnetic anomaly Magnetic Anomaly may refer to:

The FP-1 target is approximately 12 hectares in size as defined by geophysics. A minimum of four drillholes will be undertaken on this target in order to determine its geometry and adequately sample the body for microdiamond evaluations. Regular updates on drilling activities will be provided, and microdiamond results from drill samples should be available by the end of April. The Frontenac Project comprises approximately 1,800 hectares of mining claims in 12 properties within a 4,500 square kilometer area of interest located along the Ontario/Quebec border. Canabrava Diamond Corporation is actively exploring for diamonds in Brazil and Canada both independently and through major joint ventures with Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc., SouthernEra Resources Limited, Paramount Ventures and Finance Inc. and Navigator Exploration Inc. The Company is 52.7% owned by Southwestern Gold Corporation (SWG-T). Rory O.
