.) are pleased to announce that the winter exploration program on the Frontier On the Frontier: A Melodrama in Two Acts, by W. H. Auden and Christopher Isherwood, was the third and last play in the Auden-Isherwood collaboration, first published in 1938.  Project is underway.

The Frontier Project forms part of the Severn Joint Venture, an agreement between Canabrava and Navigator to explore more than 400,000 km2 of the Superior Province in Northern Ontario.

Forty-two targets have been selected for high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic surveying, and twelve grids have been completed to date. A one by two kilometer grid will be surveyed over each target using fifty-metre line spacing. Survey specifications have been designed to avoid the need to undertake ground geophysics prior to drilling, thereby fast-tracking the program. A helicopter-portable drill rig is currently being mobilized to the Project site, and camp construction is underway. Drilling is expected to commence by month-end and it is anticipated that between ten and fifteen targets will be drill tested during this first phase program. Regular progress reports will be provided once drilling commences.

Drilling also continues on the Kat Project near Attawapiskat, Ontario. Six holes testing five targets with 600 m of drilling have been completed to date. One kimberlite has been discovered so far and the other four targets have been explained as non-kimberlitic source rocks. Approximately five additional geophysical anomalies will be tested as part of the 2001 winter drilling program.

Kimberlite AT-56 was discovered on February 8. Two holes were completed on this target, both of which collared in kimberlite and ended in country rock. Kimberlite intercepts totaled 37.0 and 33.5 m respectively. The first hole was drilled vertically, while the second hole was drilled at an angle of 70 degrees. More drilling is required to determine the size and shape of the kimberlite. The kimberlite core itself contains abundant indicator minerals, including olivine olivine (ŏlĭv`ēn), an iron-magnesium silicate mineral, (Mg,Fe)2SiO4, crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. , garnet, chrome diopside diopside

Common silicate mineral in the pyroxene family. Diopside is a calcium and magnesium silicate (CaMgSi2O6) that occurs in metamorphosed siliceous limestones and dolomites, in skarns, and in igneous rocks.
and ilmenite ilmenite (ĭl`mĕnīt), black mineral, iron titanium oxide, FeTiO3, crystallizing in the hexagonal system. It is sometimes found as tabular hexagonal crystals but occurs more commonly as small grains in igneous and metamorphic . Analysis of indicator minerals is ongoing. Both kimberlite intercepts were split and sampled and approximately 250 kilograms has been sent for caustic fusion - microdiamond analysis. Results are expected within four to six weeks. This new discovery is located within 4 km of four kimberlite pipes previously identified by De Beers, including the diamondiferous Victor Pipe, which is undergoing advanced assessment.
