:CWG) announced Friday that the offering in the United States and other jurisdictions outside Canada of 5 million of its Non-Voting Shares has been completed at a price of US$29 per share (approximately C$40 per share).

Of the 5 million shares, 3 million were issued by the company and 2 million were sold by the company's parent, CanWest Communications Corp.

The Non-Voting Shares are listed for trading on the New York Stock Exchange New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

The stock issue was led in the U.S. by Prudential Securities Incorporated, Nomura Securities International, Inc. and CS First Boston, and outside the U.S. by Normura Securities International plc, Prudential-Bache Securities and CS First Boston. Nomura Securities International, Inc. acted as global coordinator for the offering.
