Twittering on about star's landmark pic.Byline: By BARBARA ARGUMENT STAR comedian Jimmy Carr's photo of Boro's prized Bottle of Notes has set social network site Twitter chirping with naughty and nice tweets. The snap sparked a flurry of website comments after the 36-year-old stand-up comedian posted it on Twitpic.com Jimmy was in town last weekend for a tour date at the Town Hall and clocked the town's pride and joy sculpture by Claes Oldenburg Noun 1. Claes Oldenburg - United States sculptor (born in Sweden); a leader of the pop art movement who was noted for giant sculptures of common objects (born in 1929) Claes Thure Oldenburg, Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen during a walk across Victoria Square. But hours after Jimmy - who proclaims himself "the biggest face on television" - had pinged the pic online, dozens of Twitter tweets started rolling in. Biggirlswalking tweeted: "Can you get three for a tenner at Asda? Englandsnumber6 said: "It's what the average bird in Middlesbrough drinks on a Saturday night." Ryanparish reminisced: "Reminds me of drinking white lightning white lightning n. Chiefly Southern U.S. See moonshine. in the park." But there were plenty to leap to the sculpture's defence. Haze 999 tweeted: "OMG (1) See Object Management Group. (2) "Oh my God!" See digispeak. OMG - Object Management Group I love this pic I'd love it in my garden." And Stonermc commented: "I rather like it. It's much better than a giant white horse!" HannahSheerin weighed in with a confession A Confession is a short work on questions of religion by Leo Tolstoy. It was first distributed in Russia in 1882. Consisting of autobiographical notes on the development of the author's belief, A Confession : "We used to have races to see who could climb it fastest." And ClaireCox87 revealed: "It's a bottle of notes taken from Captain Cook's diaries." The photo gives the Boro Bottle maximum exposure on Jimmy's Twitter stream, which has 65,492 followers, and attracted more than 8,000 hits for the picture. The comedian himself twittered about his Middlesbrough visit to followers, saying: "1am March 22. Saw this bit of 'public art' in a Middlesbrough park.
