Reports InSite Sales for Second Quarter are Up

400 Percent Over Same Period in 1999;

Forges Strategic Alliances to Meet Growing Demand in Global Markets

Camstar Systems, Inc., the leading provider of e-manufacturing solutions for Fortune 1000 companies, today announced that second quarter sales of its new InSite product increased 400 percent over the same period in 1999, driven by new customer wins in the high-growth optoelectronic market and new strategic alliances in international markets.

Camstar's sales of its flagship e-manufacturing solution, InSite, quadrupled from Q2 1999, exceeding the company's goals. Total revenues were up 60 percent in the first half of 2000, compared to the first half of 1999.

Partnerships

Europe: Camstar partnered with ThIS Automation of Breda, Holland on the recent ALZ Steel win. ThIS Automation, an Intellution distributor, represents InSite in the European market.

Asia-Pacific: Camstar partnered with Compaq Computer Corporation (company) Compaq Computer Corporation - The largest US manufacturer and vendor of IBM PC compatible personal computers and servers. Compaq was started in 1982 by three ex-Texas Instruments employees.

 to develop TAP Suite, a semiconductor-specific back-end solution based on InSite as its execution component. TAP Suite combines InSite, built-in industry functionality, communications/system software, and additional, optional third-party software components to address the total back-end requirements. First introduced at Semicon Singapore, TAP Suite attracted significant interest and is now being actively marketed by Compaq in Asian and U.S. domestic markets. TAP Suite will contribute new licensing revenues within this calendar year.

Executives

Camstar appointed two new directors to develop and manage solution partnerships and channel sales activities. In addition, a new director of marketing was hired to advance the company's e-manufacturing leadership position.

Allen Hultquist was promoted to director of channel sales for Camstar, charged with partnerships and channel sales. Hultquist previously managed the North American North American
