Campus Pipeline Secures $55 Million in Series B Funding.

Campus Pipeline, Inc., a premier provider of integrated Internet solutions for higher education, today announced that it raised $55 million in private equity funding.

Meritech Capital Partners, a late-stage venture capital fund, led the round. Strategic investors include two American Express Financial Corp. funds; General Motors Investment Management Corp., an investment advisor; Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE NYSE

Additional new investors include an affiliate of Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst; DRW Venture Partners (a Dain Rauscher Wessels fund); New Media Venture Partners; and Cornerstone Capital Group. Oak Investment Partners, a current investor, has agreed to participate in the financing round subject to expiration of a regulatory waiting period under the Hart-Scott Rodino Act. Several other previous investors in the Company also participated. Proceeds from the round will be used for working capital and general operating needs.
