Customers' demand for applications that enhance enterprise portals and software platforms became apparent today as iRenaissance, developer of integrated portal applications, and Campus Pipeline, creator of Web platforms for higher education, teamed to bring customized, Web-based calendaring to higher education.

iRenaissance's Calendar Central will allow Campus Pipeline's students, faculty, staff and alumni to view shared information that is of interest to them, including listings of school or outside affiliated partner events sponsored by different organizations or departments - all within a familiar calendar view that can be easily accessed via a standard Web browser. This agreement will support the iRenaissance goal of creating an enhanced suite of content applications to provide Campus Pipeline, and other enterprise platform companies, with personalized scheduling in a familiar Web-based format.

More than 500 campuses have licensed the Campus Pipeline platform so far. Through this partnership alone, iRenaissance will more than quadruple its deployment of the Calendar Central application as the millenium rolls around.

Calendar Central will be integrated into the Campus Pipeline platform, which integrates with a school's existing information system to provide users with personalized views of school information. Because it is Web-based, users can get access to the information from wherever they are, at any time, using a standard Web browser. Calendar Central contains filters which IT managers at Campus Pipeline's subscriber schools can customize to create "Quick Views" of particular types of information like cultural and sporting events and faculty meetings. End-users can also use these filters to generate a personalized view of information over the Web.
