Campus Dean Named at New DeVry College of New York.


NEW YORK -- DeVry College of New York, the new school created through the recent merger of DeVry Institute of Technology and Keller Graduate School of Management in New York, has appointed Brian Porter to the position of Campus Dean. In this role, Porter will be responsible for overseeing all center operations, including admissions, academics, career services, and student finance.

Prior to his appointment to Campus Dean at DeVry College of New York, Porter served as a Senior Center Dean, a role in which he managed the leadership at four DeVry University locations in the Pennsylvania metro area. Under his leadership at the DeVry University Center City Center in Philadelphia, he started an innovative Breakfast MBA program that provided early morning course options to working students, and saw a record high increase in graduate student population.

Before joining DeVry University, Porter held several educational leadership positions at institutions such as the University of Phoenix and ForeFront Education, Inc. He also served as a Master Chief Fire Control Technician for the United States Navy. Porter holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

With a campus in Long Island City and extension center in Manhattan, DeVry College of New York offers degree programs that culminate in Associate in Applied Science, (A.A.S.), Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.), and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degrees within the disciplines of business, engineering and the physical sciences. Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry College of New York offers three master's degree programs in accounting and financial management, information systems management, and business administration (MBA).
