(NCD NCD - Network Computing Devices ) to offer Thin Client technology to its customers. For the same money more Thin Clients can be purchased and utilized than PCs, therefore, the unit cost is very attractive to retailers. This offering is the latest application to be added to the GERS Retail Suite of products.

Thin Clients allow a user access to "PC" applications without the normal maintenance necessary with fully-loaded PCs. A Thin Client user operates the Thin Client device just like a PC, in that the user is presented with the applications available to them -- Microsoft Word A full-featured word processing program for Windows and the Macintosh from Microsoft. The main advantage of the Thin Client is that the application only needs to be loaded one time on a Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. NT is the core technology in Windows 2000 and Windows XP (see Windows). A further benefit is that the system can be remotely administered.

Jim Bullock, Vice President of MIS for Camping World, has reported the greatest benefit of the GERS Enterprise 1 system is `that people are talking to Noun 1. talking to - a lengthy rebuke; "a good lecture was my father's idea of discipline"; "the teacher gave him a talking to"
