MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2001

Network Computing Devices (company) Network Computing Devices - (NCD) Producer of X terminals, PC-Xware and Z-Mail.

, Inc. (Nasdaq: NCDI NCDI Northern Centre for Digital Imaging (West Yorkshire, UK) ), a leading supplier of thin client information access and management products, today announced that Camping World, the world's largest retailer of recreational vehicle (RV) accessories, supplies and services, has deployed NCD's entire suite of ThinSTAR and ThinPATH products to support the company's daily operations.

A 350 million dollar company with 30 retail locations nationwide, Camping World chose NCD NCD - Network Computing Devices  for the easy administration and superior management that NCD's hardware and software products offer when deployed together. All of Camping World's retail stores are now connected to the company's headquarters using NCD's products via a WAN. NCD's products were also easily deployed when Camping World recently opened a new RV dealership, which required additions to its network.

In order to create a network that met Camping World's ever-expanding needs, the company worked with NCD Value Added Reseller See VAR.

The company currently has deployed NCD's ThinPATH Manager which enables large numbers of thin client PCs, WBTs and Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs.  and Linux servers, allowing smooth transition from existing applications to new thin client systems. Camping World's IT staff easily installed the units. S.B. Stone and Company has assisted Camping World throughout the most recent installation process.

"Camping World's support efforts have been greatly reduced, and we have realized a significant cost savings since switching from a PC-based environment to a network utilizing NCD's thin client devices and software," stated Matthew Keyser, technical team leader, Camping World. "We are very satisfied with our decision to deploy NCD's solutions."
