D.C. Area Store Marks Second Complex in State and Continues Retailer's Rapid Growth

BOWLING GREEN Bowling Green.

1 City (1990 pop. 40,641), seat of Warren co., S Ky., on the Barren River; inc. 1812. It is a shipping and marketing center for an area producing tobacco, corn, livestock, and dairy items.
, Ky. -- Camping World, America's largest retailer of RV and outdoor supplies, accessories and recreational vehicles, today announced that it will open its second Virginia store in Winchester scheduled for September 7th. The new store continues the rapidly growing retailer's expansion in to key markets and on its planned trajectory Trajectory

Located west of Washington, D.C. off of I-81 at exit 310, the new state-of-the-art Camping World of Winchester provides customers with all of their RV, outdoor, camping accessory and service needs with over 8000 sku's available from basic camping and outdoor accessories to hard to find RV parts. In the spring of 2008 the store will become a full Camping World complex selling RVs with the addition of Camping World RV Sales.

Steve Revis, General Manager of Camping World of Winchester, discussed location selection saying, "The Winchester store is strategically positioned to serve a wide customer area including major metropolitan areas such as Baltimore and Washington D.C. and within a reasonable drive from even Richmond and Harrisburg. We are also on major highways with significant traffic to destinations areas in the south and those coming and going to the nation's capitol. I don't think that we could be better positioned."

We know that Winchester will be a draw for RVers in the entire region which really spans up and down the Mid-Atlantic and between major population centers along the entire east cost. I don't think it's a stretch to say that this store will be on the radar screens of most RVers in the eastern United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. ."

The brisk expansion of Camping World is well timed Adj. 1. well timed - done or happening at the appropriate or proper time; "a timely warning"; "with timely treatment the patient has a good chance of recovery"; "a seasonable time for discussion"; "the book's publication was well timed"  to respond to growing consumer demand as the outlook for the RV and RV supplies and accessories market burgeons, topping lists of US growth industries. A recent study by the University of Michigan's Survey Research Center found that one in 12 U.S. vehicle-owning households now own an RV. There are now 7.9 million households in the U.S. with a RV. This figure indicates a 58 percent rise in RV ownership since 1980. This study also anticipates similar growth in the future, thus providing the catalyst for additional Camping World stores across the country.
