) today announced that its Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas R. Conant have agreed that, following the expiration of his initial employment agreement with the company on January 7, 2006, Conant will continue to serve as President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . The Board and Conant agreed that he will serve at the discretion of the Board, without an employment contract, with his compensation and benefits determined in accordance with the plans and policies approved by the Compensation Committee that are applicable to other senior executives of the company. Conant was elected President and CEO on January 8, 2001.
