Camp director moves on.

In August, Beth Allison, longtime executive director of Cairn camping ministries, announced she would be resigning from her position following the annual meeting of the Synod of Central, Northeastern Ontario and Bermuda in October. The duties previously associated with her position will be split between the current co-directors.

"It is simply time," said Allison, when asked what prompted the decision. "It has been an honour to serve our synod camping ministry all these years but I feel God is calling me to use my gifts in a different capacity. I have great confidence in the board, the summer staff and certainly the co-directors to take up the torch and continue to provide a wonderful camping ministry to all our campers and families."

Allison was the director at Glen Mhor since 1995 and became an executive director of Cairn (which was created in 2005 as the umbrella organization of four Ontario camps: Glen Mhor, Iona, Dorothy Lake and Presbyterian Music Camp). She was also a camper and counsellor for many years. All together, Allison has 27 years' experience at both Glen Mhor and Cairn.
