Camp Fire names Wohelos on Sunday.

Nineteen teens will be given the Wohelo Award, the highest youth honor given by Camp Fire USA

Camp Fire USA is a nationwide youth organization that began on March 17, 1910 as Camp Fire Girls. The organization has been co-ed since 1975 and has youth from pre-kindergarten through age 21.

Danielle Batson is a junior at Sheldon High and the daughter of Donna and Fritz Batson of Eugene. She has earned at least 108 national and council awards, and her Wohelo issues included youth outdoor programming, art appreciation and cultural understanding.

Sheena Burke is a junior at Sheldon High and the daughter of Kathleen and Kevin Burke Kevin Burke is an Irish fiddler. He was born in London to parents from County Sligo in 1950. He took up the fiddle at age eight, eventually acquiring a virtuosic technique in the Sligo fiddling style.  of Eugene. Heidi Hoffman is a junior at Marist High and the daughter of Jim and Carla Hoffman of Eugene. She has earned 13 national and council awards, and her Wohelo issues included fall play day, volunteering at the Relief Nursery and preparing and leading retreats.

Emily Killgore is a junior at Marist High and the daughter of Sally and Steve Killgore of Eugene. She has earned 15 national and council awards, and her Wohelo issues included Thailand orphanage mission, leading retreats and fall play day.

Megan Martin is a junior at Marist High and the daughter of Rick and Linda Martin Linda Martin (born April 17, 1947) is an Irish singer, and TV presenter who started off her musical career when she joined the band Chips in Belfast in 1969 while she was still in school.  of Springfield. She has earned 13 national and council awards, and her Wohelo issues included leading retreats, fall play day and volunteering at the Relief Nursery.

Brita Merkel is a junior at Sheldon High and the daughter of Craig and Vicki Merkel of Eugene. She has earned 156 national and council awards, and her Wohelo issues included performing arts, Wilani Council camping program and the Turner Syndrome Turner syndrome
