Camp Archbald Celebrates Anniversary.
Camp Archbald Camp Archbald is a Girl Scout Camp in Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 288 acres, including a 45 acre lake (Lake Ely). Established in 1920, it is the second oldest continuously operating Girl Scout Camp in America. , owned and operated by the Scranton Pocono Girl Scout Council, will celebrate its eightieth anniversary this summer. A reunion for former staff and campers is planned for the weekend of July 21-23. Camp Archbald is located in northeastern Pennsylvania This mountainous area of Pennsylvania includes the Pocono Mountains, the Endless Mountains and former anthracite coal mining cities and towns, including Carbondale, Scranton, Pittston, Wilkes-Barre, Nanticoke and Hazleton. U.S. Presidents Harry Truman and George W. and is a member camp of the ACA ACA - Application Control Architecture Keystone Regional Section.
