CaminoSoft Corporation Names Arthur R. Ekroos President and Establishes New Advisory Board.

CaminoSoft Corporation (Nasdaq: CMSF) a leading innovator in intelligent data storage and retrieval systems is pleased to announce that Arthur R. Ekroos has been named President of CaminoSoft. Mr. Ekroos brings over 20 years of executive experience in the data communications industry. His expertise is in the area of product development and marketing in both the hardware and software segments of the industry. In his most recent position as VP of Business development, sales and marketing for San Diego based Abacus America, Inc., Mr. Ekroos increased software sales 800% and expanded the customer base from 65 to over 600. Trained as an electrical engineer, Mr. Ekroos studied at the Stevens Institute of Technology and received his degree from Polytechnic University.

On accepting the position of President, Mr. Ekroos made the following comments: "I am excited by this opportunity to join and lead the CaminoSoft team. The members have been selected because of their extensive experience in the data storage industry. The Advisory Boards initial membership includes Dan Friedlander, Dan Brown and Amar Rao.

Mr. Friedlander spent 11 years with the pioneers of the networking industry including Datapoint, 3Com and Novell. In addition he assisted in the founding of two data storage companies, Palindrome and Avail. Dan has also consulted for, among others, IBM, Microsoft and Oracle. Dan received a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Dan Brown is the VP of Corporate Product Development for MTI in Anaheim, CA. He heads a team of 75 engineers and is responsible for the development of a full line of enterprise storage subsystems. Dan has held executive positions with Storage Concepts Inc. and Western Digital Corp. where he managed organizational growth from 10 employees to 150, and revenue growth from $20 million to $100 million. He holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of California, Irvine.

Amar Rao is the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development for the BEA Systems Corp. He joined IBM in 1982 in the Microelectronics Division and became the Manager of Financial Operations for the Storage Systems Division of IBM in 1992. From 1992 until March 2000 Amar held a variety of executive positions in the Storage Division of IBM with the exception of a 3-year stint as Vice President -Finance for IBM Global Services India. Amar received a degree in Electrical Engineering from the India Institute of Technology, Madras, India; a Masters in Industrial Engineering from the University of Rhode Island; and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University."
