)--Canon Gregory Cameron has been named as the Deputy Secretary General of the Anglican Consultative Council The Anglican Consultative Council or ACC is one of the four "Instruments of Communion" of the Anglican Communion. It was created by a resolution of the 1968 Lambeth Conference. . The position is a new one for the Anglican Communion Anglican Communion, the body of churches in all parts of the world that are in communion with the Church of England (see England, Church of). The communion is composed of regional churches, provinces, and separate dioceses bound together by mutual loyalty as , created to accommodate the growing work of the Communion office. He will assist newly-appointed Secretary General Canon Kenneth Kearon.

Mr. Cameron has been director of ecumenical affairs and studies at the Anglican Communion Office for the last 18 months, and secretary of the Lambeth Commission on Communion, in addition to staffing all international ecumenical dialogues of the Anglican Consultative Council. Before taking up this post, he worked in the Church in Wales The Church in Wales (Welsh: Yr Eglwys yng Nghymru) is a member Church of the Anglican Communion, consisting of six dioceses in Wales. , and in educational ministry.
