Cameron Communications Speeds Deployment of Fiber Network with ADC OmniReach FTTX Solutions; ADC Fiber Distribution Hubs Service Louisiana's First Fiber-to-the-Home Community.

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (NASDAQ:ADCT)(www.adc.com), a leading supplier of infrastructure solutions for fiber-to-the-x (FTTX) networks, today announced that Cameron Communications, a locally owned and operated telecommunications company in Louisiana, is deploying ADC's OmniReach(TM) Fiber Distribution Hubs (FDHs) to speed the deployment of its FTTX network in Grand Lake, La. Cameron Communications' fiber optic network offers the latest services to Grand Lake including digital television with more than 150 channels, broadband Internet connections with speeds up to 3 Mbps, as well as enhanced voice services.

Grand Lake has the distinction of being the first community in Louisiana with lightning-fast fiber optic voice, video and data delivery. About 1,600 businesses and residences now have access to the fiber network, which is the most advanced telecommunications service available in southwest Louisiana.

ADC OmniReach FDHs are a new class of fiber optic enclosures that provide Cameron Communications with an important interface between fiber optic cables and passive optical splitters in their three-phase FTTX project. Designed for rapid and easy field installation to speed FTTX deployments, the key benefit of the re-enterable enclosure is that splitter ports contained within may be allocated economically and efficiently while allowing rapid interconnection of customer services.

ADC's OmniReach FDHs enclosures are used to connect feeder and distribution cables via power splitters in a FTTX network application and are placed strategically in the FTTP network to facilitate service connection and reconfiguration. The NEMA rated enclosures provide environmental and mechanical protection for the cables, splices, connectors and passive optical splitters, and provide the necessary protection from harsh environmental contaminants. At the same time, they remain lightweight for easy installation and breathable to prevent accumulation of moisture.
