Cameratta Properties, L.P. to Donate $25,000 to Future Florida Arts Cultural Center.


FORT MYERS Fort Myers, city (1990 pop. 45,206), seat of Lee co., SW Fla., on the Caloosahatchee River, near the Gulf of Mexico; founded 1850, inc. 1905. "I think of this as a win-win situation," said Cameratta Properties CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "A beautiful, historic building will be restored to its full glory while providing an unprecedented cultural opportunity for the City of Fort Myers and we are happy to be a part of it."

The Florida Arts Cultural Center will house 5,000 square feet of exhibition space to feature local, regional, national and international artists, as well as traveling exhibitions. In addition to traditional gallery spaces, the center also boasts open studios that will allow patrons to watch resident artists at work and to get a first hand view of the creative process. Educational programs are expected to include workshops, performances, lectures, residencies and curriculum-based visual and performing arts programs specifically tailored for school field trips.
