Camden Property Trust Revises Tax Characteristics of 2006 Distributions.Clarification to Unrecaptured Section 1250 Capital Gains HOUSTON -- Camden Property Trust (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :CPT CPT See: Carriage Paid To ) announced today a revision to the income tax characteristics of its 2006 distributions paid to shareholders as reported in a Company press release dated January 16, 2007. Unrecaptured Section 1250 Capital Gains should have been reported as 22.1846% rather than 21.1846% in that press release. The correct amount of Unrecaptured Section 1250 Capital Gains was transmitted to most tax reporting agencies in January 2007; however, some shareholders may receive a corrected Form 1099-DIV Form 1099-DIV A form sent to investors by investment fund companies. The form is a record of all taxable capital gains and dividends paid to an investor, including those that have been re-invested in a given taxation year. in the near future. The revised, final classifications of the distributions for 2006 are as follows: Camden Property Trust - Common Shares [TABLE OMITTED] (1) None of the dividends classified as ordinary taxable dividends represents "qualified dividend income" and, therefore, are not eligible for the lower tax rate.
