Severson has been named to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO See Chief Financial Officer. ) of Camco Financial Corporation and CFO/Senior Vice President of Advantage Bank effective November 13, 2001. Severson will oversee the financial functions and assisting with investor relations of the corporation and supervise the activities of Camco's accounting departments. He will also be responsible for financial plans and policies for the holding company and Advantage Bank and will serve as a member of Camco's Senior Management Team. Severson's banking career spans 25 years, most recently having served eleven years as CFO/Senior Vice President at FCNB FCNB First Consumers National Bank Corp. in Frederick, Maryland. FCNB Corp. was a $1.6 billion asset regional bank holding company. During his tenure at FCNB, Severson was instrumental in achieving an average annual growth in Earnings per Share of 10%, a Return on Equity that exceeded 17% and an average annual growth rate of assets of over 20%. Also active in FCNB's merger and acquisition efforts, Severson played a key role in the purchase of five whole banks, thirteen branches and three insurance agencies. Severson's background in the financial services industry also includes experience with Union Planters Investment Banking Group (UPIBG), a subsidiary of Union Planters Corporation (UPC). UPIBG was a nationwide fixed-income dealer bank subsidiary of UPC, at the time UPC was a $4 billion bank holding company.
