CUP said the title publishes "conceptual work" about law and its relationship with other disciplines including but not limited to science, literature, humanities, philosophy, sociology, psychology, ethics ethics, in philosophy, the study and evaluation of human conduct in the light of moral principles. Moral principles may be viewed either as the standard of conduct that individuals have constructed for themselves or as the body of obligations and duties that a , history and geography. CUP said the mission of the journal is to expand the boundaries of law and legal studies.

Editorial for the journal covers a wide range of topics, including consumer protection, investor protection, trusts law, Internet law, copyright law, labor law labor law, legislation dealing with human beings in their capacity as workers or wage earners. The Industrial Revolution, by introducing the machine and factory production, greatly expanded the class of workers dependent on wages as their source of income. , sentencing and criminal Justice, law and parenthood, European public law, legal cultures and environmental protection.
