 Acoustics, plans to bring its established manufacturing and marketing expertise to a unique loudspeaker concept developed by pioneer designer Roy Allison.

The first product to come out of this new alliance is the RDL Acoustics F-1 MII 1. (body) MII - A consortium of Microsoft, IBM, and Intel.

 and through a limited number of retailers nationally. Finished in "Vermont Cherry" vinyl, the two-way floor-standing RDL Acoustics F-1 MII will sell for $599 a pair.

RDL Acoustics (Room Designed Loudspeakers) was founded in 1992 by Allison, whose career in audio began in the 1950s at Acoustic Research. Allison's distinguished designs include the legendary Acoustic Research AR-3A, AR-4 and AR LST LST left sacrotransverse (position of fetus).  speaker systems, and systems under the Allison Acoustics banner that were based on his seminal research into the effects of room boundaries on speaker performance. At RDL Acoustics, Allison created a new series of systems, each designed for a specific room placement with respect to adjacent surfaces, and incorporating a unique tweeter with unusually wide dispersion at even the highest frequencies.

Cambridge SoundWorks is the country's first and largest factory-direct stereo company. The company sells its products directly to consumers through its company-owned retail stores and its mail order catalog. Its products were also available in Best Buy stores nationwide beginning in June 1995.
