Cambridge Healthtech Institute to Organize Two Life Science Conferences at BIOTECHNICA 2009.

Bio-IT World Europe and PEGS Europe: The Protein Engineering Summit, make debut in Hannover, Germany

HANNOVER, Germany & NEEDHAM, Mass. -- Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI), a leading organizer of biomedical bi·o·med·i·cal

2. Of, relating to, or involving biological, medical, and physical sciences.
conferences in the USA, will organize two important Life science conferences at BIOTECHNICA 2009. "The addition of Bio-IT World Europe and PEGS Europe: The Protein Engineering Summit, both being held in Europe for the first time, brings exciting new session content to BIOTECHNICA", says Stephan Kuhne, member of the Board at Deutsche Messe Deutsche Messe, or The German Mass, (Deutsche Messe und Ordnung des Gottesdiensts) was published by Martin Luther in 1526. It followed his Latin mass (1523).

The German Mass was completely chanted, except for the sermon.
AG, Hannover. Phillips Kuhl, president and founder of CHI adds: "We are proud to partner with such a prestigious event as BIOTECHNICA. This collaboration allows us to grow within Europe, expanding and diversifying the international audience for the event."

Bio-IT World Europe

Bio-IT World Europe builds on the strong success of the company's annual Bio-IT World Conference & Expo. Since 2002, the annual Bio-IT World Conference & Expo held in Boston, Massachusetts “Boston” redirects here. For other uses, see Boston (disambiguation).

The term is more widely used in Europe.  to biomedical research Biomedical research (or experimental medicine), in general simply known as medical research, is the basic research or applied research conducted to aid the body of knowledge in the field of medicine.  and the drug discovery enterprise.

With the rapid growth in high throughput data generation, from genomics and biomarkers on the biological side to faster high throughput screening and high content imaging, IT and informatics has become increasingly crucial for improving research productivity. "Across the continent, European researchers, pharma companies and start-ups are advancing new ideas and technologies that are driving basic research and drug development. We are truly excited to provide a new forum to bring this talent together", says Kuhl.

The inaugural Bio-IT World Europe taking place in Hannover will offer more than 70 presentations within the four conference tracks IT-Hardware and IT-Software for the Life Sciences, Bioinformatics Using computers in biological research to analyze or predict the composition of molecules (nucleic acids, proteins, etc.) and model biologic systems. Bioinformatics is most prominent in the Human Genome Project, which has recorded the three billion chemical base pairs that make up the  for Genomics as well as Data Integration and Knowledge Management. They will feature best practice case studies relevant to the technologies, research and regulatory issues of the life sciences, pharmaceutical, clinical and IT professionals. A special exhibition area showcasing BIO-IT can be found in hall 8. Additional information can be found on the following websites: www.healthtech.com and www.bio-itworldexpo.com/europe.

PEGS Europe: The Protein Engineering Summit

The other segment exhibiting strong growth in the pharmaceutical sector is biologicals, particularly monoclonal antibodies This is a list of monoclonal antibodies, antibodies which are clones of a single parent cell. When used as medications, the generic names end in -mab (see "Nomenclature of monoclonal antibodies").  and recombinant proteins Since human recombinants have replaced the animal version in human therapeutics, the prefix of "rh" for "human recombinant" appears less and less in the literature Human recombinants that replaced animal or harvested from human types
. Again, PEGS Europe: The Protein Engineering Summit, builds on the excellent history of CHI's annual PEGS conference covering these topics. PEGS Europe will feature a Protein Expression track and Antibody track. For Protein Expression the first program covers aspects of the cell line constructs and expression systems, with Isolation and Characterization highlighted in the second program. A technique using recombinant DNA technology to create bacteriophages with a desired peptide embedded in the surface of their protein shells.
for Antibody Development is covered in the first program of the other track, followed by Bench to Bedside coverage to Therapeutic Antibodies. In hall 8 PEGS will also provide for a special exhibition area. Additional details to this conference can be found on the CHI websites www.healthtech.com and www.PEGSummitEUROPE.com.
