Cambridge Health Department Utilizes Alert System Developed by DynTek to Help Combat Bio-Terrorism.

System Alerts Officials of Increased Requests for Emergency Care

DynTek, Inc. (Nasdaq: DYTK, DYTKP, DYTKW), a leading provider of technology and management solutions to the state and local government sector, today announced that the Cambridge Health Department is utilizing an alert system developed by DynTek to notify public health officials of a possible bio-terrorist attack.

The alert system is part of the Cambridge Health Department's overall bio-terrorism mitigation program.

The alert system proactively tracks emergency room visits across multiple jurisdictions, which are often an initial indicator of a biochemical bi·o·chem·is·try

attack. If abnormal or excessive emergency room activity is detected, the system automatically notifies a pre-set, prioritized list of Public Health administrators and emergency personnel. Prior to the DynTek system, such data could take weeks to assemble and there was no systematic alert mechanism in place.

The system can also be expanded to track additional data elements, such as 911 inquiries and poison control calls. The Cambridge Health Department is currently working with DynTek to expand the data collection capabilities and better serve the regional Public Health network.
