Fifty homeless individuals from the Friends of Boston Homeless Shelter recently received gift certificates which entitle them to an eye examination and a pair of eyeglasses eyeglasses or spectacles, instrument or device for aiding and correcting defective sight. Eyeglasses usually consist of a pair of lenses mounted in a frame to hold them in position before the eyes.  at any Cambridge Eye Doctors location.

Friends of Boston's Homeless serves about 800 people a day from the Long Island Shelter, the Woods Mullen Shelter and the Long Island Annex Shelter. Every year, the organization is responsible for moving more than 100 homeless people into permanent housing and helping them secure employment.
