Cambridge City boss Daniels stands down; A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE Dr MARTENS LEAGUE CLUBS.

Cambridge City - Manager Graham Daniels dealt City a hammer blow by resigning 24 hours before the club's New Year's Day fixture at second-in-the-table Boston United. Despite the shock of Daniels' departure, Cambridge came from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw.

Dorchester Town - Injuries to 'keeper Kevin Maloy and striker Martyn O'Sullivan appear to be as bad as first thought. The duo were injured in the December 28 fixture against Bath City and both underwent surgery within 24 hours.

Fisher Athletic - The Fish have parted company with manager Mickey Stead. Ex-player and current second team boss Ossie Bayram has been appointed until the end of the season.

VS Rugby - The start of it all - A History of VS Rugby FC 1955 to 1998 - is available from club secretary Doug Wilkins. The book contains a record of every match played by the club and includes more than 150 photographs. It has been written and compiled by David Goodyear and is also available from WH Smith outlets in the Rugby area.

Wisbech Town - The night before the 1-0 home defeat by Hinckley United in their final match of the 1998, Wisbech had suffered another blow when thieves broke into the club and stole souvenirs, kit, footballs and refreshments.

Solihull Borough - Former Atherstone United midfielder Ade Baddams is back on the recovery trail after surgery on a cruciate ligament injury which threatened his career.

Baddams, who joined Boro from Tamworth during last summer, has been given the go-ahead to restart training and manager Paul Dyson is hoping he'll be back in action before the end of the season.
