The company recorded revenues for the third quarter of $4,193,000 and incurred a net loss of $1,919,000, or $0.21 per share. Due to the change in the company's financial reporting year, the third quarter of 1996 is compared to the three month period ended Aug. 31, 1995, the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 1995. For that period, revenues were $3,307,000 and the net loss was $10,304,000, or $1.18 per share. The results for that period included inventory write-downs of $6,547,000. For the nine months ended Sept. 28, 1996, Cambex reported revenues of $19,336,000 and a net loss of $2,703,000, which compares to revenues of $24,985,000, and a net loss of $10,055,000 for the comparable period of the prior year.
