Back in 1979, when Dave was an even more shiny-faced and strawboatered youth at the aforementioned Eton, The Jam classic was his favourite tune.

Weller is livid livid /liv·id/ (liv´id) discolored, as from a contusion or bruise; black and blue.

Fair enough but it does kind of miss the point that it was Cameron and his chums who were being protested against.

It's a bit like PW Botha saying he and Mrs B always enjoyed a knees up to Free Nelson Mandela or Ian Paisley putting U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday in with his Desert Island Discs.
