New enhancements include integrated mortgage broker and banker loan data

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Calyx Software([R]), the mortgage industry's leading provider of loan marketing, originating and processing software, announced today the release of Point([R]) and Point Data Server([R]) versions 6.0. The latest version of the Point application includes a new enhancement that allows the integration of mortgage broker and mortgage banker functionalities. New marketing tools and a powerful report generator are also included. Both Point and Point Data Server Versions 6.0 are now being shipped to current customers at no additional cost.

Point version 6.0 provides a number of new capabilities supporting banker functionality, ranging from underwriting through loan sale, eliminating the need to use multiple systems. The banker screens give owners the ability to ensure every loan is profitable prior to closing, allowing one system of record. "Many of our broker customers have become or are evolving into mortgage bankers, and it's our goal to continue to serve the needs of all of our users. The bankers we expect to most benefit from this release are the originators who both broker and bank their loans, and sell their funded loans on a servicing-released flow basis," said Dennis Boggs, senior vice president of Calyx Software. Owners have the flexibility to designate user access, administering screens for each user's needs, creating increased security for sensitive financial data.

Point 6.0 also provides an expanded number of marketing tools that allow users to easily create custom letters, newsletters, promotional e-mails, and mailing labels. Company information, such as profitability, can be compiled and sorted into useful reports that are integrated with Microsoft Excel. Sample templates are included to demonstrate the ease of use provided by the enhanced reporting functionality.

Other new features of Point 6.0 include the ability to order and incorporate Automated Valuation Model (AVM) reports, generate new loans for existing customers where applicable information is automatically transferred, and conduct advanced searches across multiple data folders.

Point Data Server software enables all of an organization's employees to access centralized loan files and templates with exceptional speed, no matter where they work. Point Data Server 6.0 gives administrators the ability to designate the level of control and security over sensitive loan data, by enabling or disabling the ability to access data folders on their local computers. The system offers easy implementation and includes a complimentary Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate, ensuring protected data transactions, as well as a domain name for the life of the subscription.
