Calyon Americas Appoints Gary Herzog a Managing Director and Head of Americas Loan Syndications Group.

 -- Calyon in the Americas, the New York-based regional unit of the Credit Agricole Group's corporate and investment banking arm, today announced the appointment of Gary Herzog, a 20-year capital markets veteran, as Head of its Loan Syndications Group in the Americas. He also was named a Managing Director.

Mr. Herzog most recently was a Managing Director at BNY BNY Bank of New York  (Bank of New York The Bank of New York, abbrieviated to BNY, was a global financial services company that existed until its merger with the Mellon Financial Corporation on July 2, 2007.[1] The bank now continues under the new name of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. ) Capital Markets, where he was Co-Head of Syndicated Finance and Leveraged Lending.

At Calyon, Mr. Herzog will report locally to Jerome Le Jamtel, Managing Director and Head of the Credit and Debt Markets Division of Calyon Americas, and globally to Carol Shymanski, Managing Director and Global Head of Loan Syndication.

Reporting to Mr. Herzog will be Amy Trapp, Managing Director and Head of Loan Syndication Origination and Structuring, and Laurent Deroy, Managing Director and Head of Loan Syndication Sales and Trading.
