Calvin College and Wayne Community College Receive 2006 Datatel Partners in Excellence Award; Institutions Recognized for Collaboration Efforts and Ongoing Commitment to Higher Education.

WASHINGTON -- Datatel(R), Inc. today announced that Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, and Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC, received the 2006 Datatel Partners in Excellence Award. Datatel Chairman of the Board, President and CEO, H. Russell Griffith recognized the two institutions at the Opening General Session of the 2006 Datatel Users' Group (DUG) Conference and Expo in Washington, DC.

The Datatel Partners in Excellence Award is presented annually to client institutions that work closely with Datatel and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in higher education. Datatel evaluates institutions on their level of active participation in the Datatel client community, innovative information technology practices, and leadership in developing quality services for faculty, staff, and students. Datatel presents the award each year to one two-year institution and one four-year institution. Recipients receive a $4,000 unrestricted gift, a special plaque presented by a member of Datatel's executive team, and various other recognitions.

A client since 2000, Wayne Community College also served as a beta tester for Colleague software modifications, third party software interfaces, and hardware impact analysis.

Wayne Community College will officially receive its award at the annual American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Convention in Long Beach, CA on April 23, 2006. Calvin College will receive its award on campus this spring.
