The improvements under discussion cover I-405 from Interstate 10 to US 101: -- Northbound HOV Lanes -- Carpool lanes are planned for the stretches between National Boulevard and Greenleaf Street and between Ventura and Burbank boulevards -- Southbound HOV Lane -- Carpool lane is planned from Waterford Street to I-10 -- Connector Widening -- Additional lane planned for connector road that links northbound I-405 with southbound US 101 -- Gap Closure/Flyunder/Dickens Bypass -- Recently opened northbound auxiliary lane will be extended to the US 101 Connector, a flyunder ramp for vehicles headed north on I-405 from Sepulveda Boulevard will be built and Dickens Avenue will be extended west as a means of accessing I-405 and bypassing the intersection of Sepulveda and Ventura boulevards.
