Caltius Mezzanine Closes $300 Million Fund III.


LOS ANGELES Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  -- Caltius Capital Management is pleased to announce the first and final closing of its third mezzanine fund A mezzanine fund is a type of private equity or merchant banking fund.

A typical mezzanine investment consists of a debt or debt-like instrument, paired with an equity “sweetener.
, Caltius Partners III, LP, with aggregate capital commitments of $300 million. The closing exceeded the fund's target size of $250 million.

The fund's limited partners include a diverse group of U.S. and European-based public and corporate pension funds, funds-of-funds, insurance companies, commercial banks, foundations, endowments, and high net worth individuals.
