* Presentation of the ADT (Asynchronous Data Transfer) A transmission technique used in ISDN PBXs that dynamically allocates bandwidth. See also abstract data type.

* Announcement of the AFCA National Coach of the Year in four divisions, as selected by the AFCA Active membership, and recognition of the 20 AFCA regional winners chosen earlier in the year.

* Presentation of the AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year Award in five divisions.

* Recognition of coaches whose teams won NCAA- or NAIA-affiliated conference or national championships, as well as head coaches of independent teams that qualified for the NCAA NCAA

* Presentation of the Power of Influence Award, Amos Alonzo Stagg Award The Amos Alonzo Stagg Award is presented annually by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) to the “individual, group or institution whose services have been outstanding in the advancement of the best interests of football.  and Tuss McLaughry Tuss McLaughry (May 19, 1893 – November 26, 1974) was a head football coach at Westminster College, Amherst College, Brown University, and Dartmouth College. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1962.  Award. The presentation are made during two of the primary functions at the convention--the ADT Awards Luncheon and the AFCA Coach of the Year Dinner.

* The AFCA Kickoff Luncheon, which opens the convention each year. Past speakers have included noted motivational speaker A motivational speaker is a professional speaker, facilitator or trainer who speaks to audiences, usually for a fee. The keynote speech generally takes place either at the beginning of the event, or the close of the event.  Zig Ziglar, College Football Hall of Famer Mike Singletary Michael Singletary (born October 9, 1958 in Houston, Texas) is a former linebacker in American football who played his entire career for the Chicago Bears in the NFL, after starring in college at Baylor University, whose team is also known as the Bears. , and former Colorado head coach and Promise Keepers Promise Keepers is an international Christian organization for men, based in Denver, Colorado, United States, self-described as "a Christ-centered organization dedicated to introducing men to Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, helping them to grow as Christians".  Founder Bill McCartney.

* The Master Coach lecture series features a pair of long-time coaches sharing their insights on the game and the coaching profession with the membership in a question and answer format. This event has featured former coaching greats such as Darrell Royal, Eddie Robinson, Paul Dietzel, Bo Schembechler, Charlie McClendon, Vince Dooley, Tom Landry, Don Coryell, John McKay, and Don Shula.

* "Chalk Talks" offer lectures from the top offensive, defensive and special teams staffs in the nation. The Chalk Talk line-up for 2004 included the offensive staff from Minnesota, the defensive staffs from Texas Tech, Florida State, and Ohio State, and the special teams staffs from Miami (Ohio) and Utah.

* The Professional Development Series. First introduced at the 1996 convention, this program combines a series of lectures from the regular convention line-up that will help coaches build a solid background in aspects of the business ranging from technical "X and O" areas to coaching ethics.

* This year's convention will again include the Monday evening "Buzz Sessions." These sessions are one-hour chalkboard clinics that give coaches an opportunity to discuss offensive and defensive strategy in an intimate breakout room setting.
