WHAT: In a recent statement, Santa Claus has recommended that
all the boys and girls throughout the country stop
addressing envelops to his workshop and start text
messaging him directly. "It's a numbers game," Kris
Kringle says. "With less than a week to go before
Christmas, we simply can't read all the letters in time
to make sure the right gifts arrive under the right
trees." Given the deadline, Old Saint Nick's IT team
has confirmed that text messaging is the most efficient
and effective way to reach Santa. So put aside the pens
and paper because Cricket is bringing "Dear Santa"
Christmas wishes to the 21st century with a text
messaging capability straight to the North Pole. With
Christmas just six days away, Cricket is making it easy
on kids and parents so they don't have to worry about
making sure that Santa has the 411 on what they want to
find in their Christmas stocking on the morning of
               December 25th.

HOW: Cricket customers can simply send a text message to Old
Saint Nick at SANTA (72682), and their wishes will be
sent directly to the man at the North Pole. Each email
will receive a reply that states: "Your message has
               been received. Happy Holidays! Santa"

WHEN: Now through December 24th.

WHERE: From Cricket markets across the country to the North
               Pole.

WHY: Why not? It's Christmastime and this is 2005!
