 to the telephone number from which the customer is calling. Complete Blocking blocks the caller's number from being delivered on all calls (except 911, 800, 888 and 900 calls). If a customer wants Complete Blocking and does not get confirmation that that is the option assigned to the telephone line, the customer should call Pacific Bell at: 1-800-298-5000. Live operators are taking blocking orders 24 hours-a-day.

Customers who prefer Selective Blocking, which delivers the number of the caller Caller may refer to one of the following:
  • Caller (telecommunications), a party that originates a call
  • Caller (dancing), a person that calls dance figures in round dances and square dances
  • Caller to Islam, the Islamic equivalent of a Christian missionary
 unless the caller dials STAR67 before placing that call, need not take any action. Selective Blocking is automatically placed on all lines unless the customer orders Complete Blocking.
